Job Description
We are seeking a qualified and dedicated Biomedical Engineer to manage, maintain, and support medical equipment and healthcare technology within the hospital. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of medical devices, coordinating preventive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and supporting clinical departments in delivering quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Install, inspect, test, and maintain medical equipment and devices across the hospital.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of biomedical equipment.
Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions in a timely manner.
Coordinate with equipment vendors and service providers for repairs and Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC).
Maintain inventory records of all biomedical equipment and related documentation.
Ensure calibration, validation, and performance testing of medical devices as per regulatory requirements.
Provide technical support and user training to doctors, nurses, and hospital staff.
Monitor equipment performance and recommend upgrades or replacements when required.
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, NABH guidelines, and statutory requirements.
Prepare maintenance schedules, service reports, and equipment history records.
Participate in procurement activities, including technical evaluation of biomedical equipment.
Support emergency equipment readiness and ensure critical care devices are operational at all times.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Biomedical Engineering.
Minimum 1–3 years of experience in biomedical engineering, preferably in a hospital environment.
Knowledge of medical equipment maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting.
Familiarity with ICU, OT, Cath Lab, Radiology, Dialysis, and Laboratory equipment.
Proficiency in MS Office and maintenance record management.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills
Experience with NABH-accredited hospitals.
Knowledge of medical equipment regulations and healthcare compliance requirements.
Vendor management and AMC coordination experience.
Understanding of hospital engineering systems and healthcare technologies.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize critical equipment issues.
Pay: ₹10,835.12 - ₹50,588.95 per month
Work Location: In person
