Job Description
I. Job Purpose
· The head of IT Infrastructure is responsible for thetechnology infrastructure planning, implementation and operations of all technologyinfrastructure which includes data center, network and server services, telephony, service monitoring,user support/help desk, desktops, laptops servers, storage and related devices and software.
· This position isoperationally responsible for ensuring the availability, integrity, and security for all IT systems andinfrastructure
II. Job Responsibilities
· Partners with and supports the IT Head to lead the technology infrastructure strategy and execution for the enterprise
· Planning, project management and implementation leadership, identifying opportunities forautomation, cost savings, and service quality improvement.
· Provides infrastructure services vision, enables innovation and seeks to leverage IT trends thatcan create business value consistent with the company’s requirements and expectations
· Development of enterprise standards and technology architecture and the IT operationsgovernance process in close integration with the IT Security team
· Conduct product and vendor evaluations ensuring best in class technologies and partners
· Works closely with and manage strategic vendor partner relationships
· Participate in the formulation of the company's enterprise architecture and business systemplans; assessing cost and feasibility, and ensuring the plan is aligned with and supports thestrategic goals of the business.
· Hands-on technical depth, problem-solving leadership and participationfor complex infrastructure implementation, system upgrades and operational troubleshooting
· Experience with comprehensive disaster recovery architecture and operations, including storagearea network and redundant, highly available server and network architecture
II. Skills and Competencies
· Knowledge of network infrastructure protocols and services (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
· Familiarity with modern networking technologies including SDN and NFV
· Understanding of IT security principles and best practices
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
· Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
· Experience in managing virtualization technologies like VMware or Hyper-V
· Proven track record in implementing IT projects successfully
· Extensive experience in network and server administration
· In-depth knowledge of network hardware and software
· Proficient with network diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools
· Strong understanding of firewalls, VPN, and security protocols
· Excellent troubleshooting skills
· Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
· Good organizational and time-management skills
· Strong attention to detail
· Technical writing skills for documentation
· Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
· Experience with network design and architecture
III. Qualifications & Experience
· 10+ years of relevant work experience
Education
· Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
· Professional certifications such as Cisco CCNA, VMware VCP
